Icelandic Church Tower/Underground Kompressor

from The People's Cloud (Original Soundtrack) by Matt Parker

/

about

Iceland, one of the most popular potential destinations for medium-latency data centre applications. Fully sustainable energy production from hydroelectric and geothermal power across the country makes it a cost effective, and environmentally friendly source of fuel for a data centre.

The central church at the top of a hill in Iceland is an impressive postmodern design with fluid shapes and quite irregular for a church. This recording juxtaposes the view from this highpoint of the nations capital Rekjavik with the low depths of the basement undergroround compressor turbine of one of its oldest hydroelectric powerstations.
